Leoville Poyferre 1992

Chateau Leoville Poyferre

25 years

Medium ruby-colored, with an oak overlay, this wine lacks fruit and tastes monolithic, tannic, angular, and compact. It may improve with 2-3 years of cellaring, but my instincts suggest it will dry out long before the tannin fades. *** The 1992 displays fine color, new oak, and ripe fruit, but tastes one-dimensional and compact. It should drink well for 7-8 years.
